8 Things about Mercury planet | The First planet in our solar system

The Mercury: Inner most planet from the sun.                  The Mercury planet is smallest planet and innermost planet of our solar system. The name Mercury is after the Greek god Hermes, translated into Latin Mercurius Mercury, He is the god of commerce, the messenger of the gods and mediator between gods and mortals. As the Mercury is the closest planet from the sun, it has the fastest speed of revolution around the sun. Because of the sun’s very strong gravitational force, this gives Mercury speed. The Mercury is speeding along at about 29 miles per second around the sun and completing each orbit in just 88 Earth’s days. The Mercury planet rotates about its axis very slowly, taking nearly 59 Earth days to complete one rotation. As a result, a day on Mercury is about 176 Earth day . The speed of planet gives it the nickname as Swift Planet . The Mercury: Smallest Planet in solar system.       ...

Dwarf Planets in our solar system | Makemake, Haumea, Gonggong

What is the Dwarf Planet? According to the International Astronomical Union, the dwarf planets are the celestial bodies that orbits the sun, has not cleared the neighborhood around its orbit, has enough mass to assume a nearly round shape and is not a moon. The number of dwarf planets in our solar system is unknown. Now the question arises that why the Pluto is not a planet? The Pluto has enough mass to assume a nearly round shape, also orbits the sun but the Pluto has not cleared the neighborhood around its orbit. There are six known dwarf planets, the Pluto demoted as a Dwarf Planet, Eris the reason behind the demotion of the Pluto, Ceres the closest dwarf planet from the sun and from the Earth, the Makemake fourth dwarf planet, the Haumea fifth discovered dwarf planet and the Gonggong sixth dwarf planet with Chinese name. I explained the Pluto, Eris and Ceres in my previous article. 1] Makemake dwarf planet           ...

6 Things about the Saturn planet | The Ringed planet in our solar system

The Saturn is sixth planet from the Sun in our solar system. The Saturn is second largest planet in our solar system. The Saturn named after the Roman god of agriculture, who is equated with the Greek deity Cronus, one of the titans and father of Zeus (Roman god Jupiter). As like the Jupiter , the Saturn is a gas giant and the composition of the Saturn is dominated by hydrogen. As we look the composition of Saturn, the Saturn is also failed star. The pressure is not enough to become a star on hydrogen. But the pressure is enough to convert hydrogen into liquid metallic hydrogen. The liquid metallic hydrogen drive to generate strong magnetic field. The distance between Saturn and the Sun is 1.434 billion kilometers. The Saturn requires 29 years to complete one orbit around the sun. The Saturn second largest planet in our solar system.          ...
